Backed by Academy Award-winning directors Alejandro González Iñárritu (The Revenant, Birdman) and Alfonso Cuarón (Gravity, Children of Men), and co-produced by Cannes-winning director Carlos Reygadas (Post Tenebras Lux, Silent Light). A sibling pair, Lucio and Fauna, roam through a lost city in search of food and shelter. They enter one of the few remaining buildings where they encounter an older man who makes them a dangerous offer. Dark, destructive instincts lead to the emergence of an unsettling sexual relationship. "We Are the Flesh" is set in post-apocalyptic Mexico where cruelty and desire are disturbingly intertwined.
