The world has endured many epidemics, but the worst of all are right among us, in the nearest vegetable patch. We are, of course, referring to the rawest "culprits" of the raw food diet, the universally despised but misunderstood TOMATOES! For hundreds of years, they have been shackled in the chains of capitalism to be sacrificed on the altar of the ketchup industry. But now they've had enough! With the battle cry "Better red than dead," they are armed for a global attack. Today the vegetable patch – tomorrow the world!
John De Bello was the director who first brought the world's attention to the growing tomato problem. It happened in 1978 with "ATTACK OF THE KILLER TOMATOES," a low-budget film that became a surprising success and spawned three sequels, one of them featuring a young and green George Clooney. The popularity has also led to two video games, an animated TV series from Marvel, and the killer hot sauce "Killer Tomato Hot Sauce."
