Sound of Violence

The girl Alexis is born deaf. Almost magically, she regains her hearing when she witnesses her war-traumatized father kill her mother and brother. This horrifying experience also triggers a latent synesthesia – Alexis not only hears certain sounds but experiences them through all her senses in an all-encompassing ecstatic sensory experience. This ability leads her, as an adult, to pursue a career as a DJ and musician. When Alexis realizes that her hearing is starting to fade again, she proves willing to literally go to great lengths to keep it. Blood will flow as Alexis sets out to complete her violent musical masterpiece.
